ART WINE AND WHEELS APPRECIATION EVENT.
"ART IS ALIVE AND WELL IN MARIPOSA"

May 16th - May 30th 2021

Unfortunately, with restrictions still in place due to Covid-19, we wanted to still appreciate our artists who generously support our event each year. We made a splash across Facebook reaching over 3000 people with our event, linking visitors with the artists. 
We look forward to having this event in person in the future.

LOCAL TREE PLANTING

April 2nd 2021

In honor of the retiring Rotary District 5220 President, Sherry Cotta, the Rotary Club of Mariposa Yosemite planted a tree at her request.  All 53 clubs in the district participated by planting trees in their local areas to reach Rotary’s goal of improving the environment. 
Mike Healy and Ronnie Sanches of Public Works oversaw the planning of the maple tree, purchased from Creekside Nursery.  Volunteers from the Rotary Service Committee include Chery Davis, Jim Wittkopf, Jay McDonald, Elaine Seymour, Susan Robinson, and the President of the local club, Debbie Peters.

HONORING MARIPOSA GROCERY WORKERS

February 15th - May 15th 2021

Honoring Mariposa grocery workers and supporting local food and drink establishments by presenting $25 restaurant vouchers to every employee of High Country Health Foods and Pioneer Market. A total of 94 vouchers were given and the program runs through May 15th 2021.

SPEECH CONTEST

Feb 4th 2021

•    Our speech contest topic this year was “Together We Open Opportunities.” The main emphasis was on how this topic applies to the students life and future dreams and plans through the pursuit of education and involvement in community service.

TRAIL REPAIRS - BLUE GLORY MINE TRAIL

Throughout our beautiful county, we have many hiking trails, which need maintaining. Our club stepped up to help the organizers on the Blue Glory Mine Trail.

THANKFULNESS WEEK

November 16th-22nd

We have so much to be thankful for, even in the hardest of times. We especially wanted to thank our hard working essential workers, whether it be wild fires, or pandemics, we are grateful for you all!

ROTARY SCHOLARSHIPS AUCTION

November 11th-24th 2020

Over the past 15 years, The Rotary Club of Mariposa Yosemite's Scholarship Golf Tournament has allowed us to award in excess of $295,000 for scholarships to graduating seniors from Mariposa County.
This year, due to COVID-19, we had to be creative. Headed by Elaine Seymour, we produced an on-line auction, making a staggering amount with the help of our generous community.

TRUNK OR TREAT

October 31st 2020

Ah-hoy me hearties! There be pirates in me club!!! Participating in our local Trunk or Treat, bringing much cheer to the local community, even coming 2nd place in the competition!

KEEPING THE STREETS CLEAN

October 27th, 2020 and April 28th 2021

The streets of Mariposa look spick and span after working together with Kris Casto, a local business owner. Meeting early to sweep the streets and pick up all the trash.

FLU CLINIC

October 14th, 2020

Partnering with Mariposa Heath and Human Services, we aided with set up and direction for all participants wanting to get a flu vaccination. Helping to protect our local community.

Bus Shelters are built and maintained across Mariposa County by our Rotary Club for the local schools.

7TH STREET PAVILION

Headed by Xav Dubois from Mariposa Chamber of Commerce and Greg Harper, our Rotarian, partnering with various groups and our club, the 7the Street pavilion was realized. Bringing an outdoor eating area to support local restaurants and business during the lockdowns of COVID-19
